How to Use SpinPick: A Complete Guide to Every Feature

By Roda Bone · Published September 16, 2026

SpinPick is built to be usable in under a minute with zero setup, but it has a few features worth knowing about if you use it regularly. Here's everything the wheel can do.

Adding your entries

Type or paste your names, prizes, or options into the text box, one per line. There's no limit on formatting — blank lines are ignored, and each remaining line becomes one equal slice of the wheel. Because every line counts separately, entering the same entry twice gives it two slices instead of one, which is a quick way to weight the odds toward a particular outcome.

Spinning the wheel

Click SPIN, or press the space bar if you're not focused in the text box. The wheel animates to a stopping point chosen by your browser's random number generator, and the winning entry is highlighted when it settles.

Remove winner after each spin

Turn on this checkbox before spinning to have each winner automatically removed from the wheel once picked. It's the setting to use whenever you want a fair rotation instead of a pure re-roll — for example, making sure every student, employee, or raffle entrant gets picked exactly once before anyone gets picked twice.

Sound

The sound toggle controls the spin and win sound effects. Leave it on for in-person use like classrooms or parties where the sound adds to the moment, or turn it off for quiet settings or when you're recording your screen with separate audio.

Saving and reusing lists

If you'll use the same set of entries again — a class roster, a standing team list, a recurring raffle pool — name it and click Save. Saved lists are stored privately in your own browser's local storage, not on a server, so they'll be there the next time you open SpinPick on the same device, and nothing you type is ever uploaded anywhere. You can load, rename, or delete saved lists from the same panel.

The Yes or No wheel

For quick either/or decisions that don't need a custom list, the Yes or No wheel is a dedicated two-option version of the same tool — useful for coin-flip-style calls where you want something more visual and fun than an actual coin.

Privacy basics

SpinPick has no accounts and no server-side database. Everything you type lives only in your browser until you clear your site data. See the Privacy Policy for the full details, including the cookies used by analytics and ads.

Ready to put it to use? Head to the picker wheel and start typing your list — no signup, no install.
